His life and work

Grand Master Choa Kok Sui was born in the Philippines to a Chinese family. A chemical engineer by training, and a businessman and philanthropist by profession, he spent more than twenty years researching how prana, the life energy that keeps the body alive, could be used to heal.

He studied healing traditions from across the world, then tested their principles carefully. The result was Pranic Healing: a clear, structured, step-by-step system that anyone could learn. He set it down in his first book in 1987, later published as Miracles Through Pranic Healing, which has since been translated into more than 30 languages.

He went on to develop Arhatic Yoga, a systematic path of spiritual practice, and continued teaching and writing until his passing in 2007. Today Pranic Healing is practised in more than 120 countries.

Teachings that followed

  • Pranic Healing courses, from the basic level through advanced healing, Pranic Psychotherapy and Pranic Crystal Healing.
  • The Meditation on Twin Hearts, a guided meditation for peace and loving-kindness, practised by groups worldwide.
  • Arhatic Yoga, a systematic path of spiritual practice built on character and service.
